Corporate Participation

Supporting Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis is a good business decision.

In addition to making an impact on millions of lives, sponsoring Take Steps and forming a corporate team can bring your company closer to achieving business goals.

Being associated with a charitable event can lead to the following outcomes:

  • Brand differentiation
  • Community visibility
  • New and deeper community networks
  • Improved employee recruitment and retention
  • Teamwork and team building
  • Fostering talent and strengthening the skills and leadership of employees
  • Enhanced credibility

Research illustrates that companies committed to a cause prevail.

  • An all-time high of 84% of Americans say they are likely to switch brands, when price and quality are equal, to help support a cause.
  • More than 7 out of 10 Americans (75%) say a company's commitment to causes is important when they decide which products and services to recommend to others.
  • Employees whose companies support social issues are 40% more likely to say they are proud of their company's values and nearly 25% more likely to be loyal to their employers than those whose companies do not have such programs.

Form a Corporate Team:

Why form a corporate team?

  • Teamwork and team building – Employees learn to work together in social settings, which enhance their work relationships. They find out how to set goals, develop creative ways to achieve them and carry out their ideas into action.
  • Corporate pride and employee retention – Employees will benefit from taking an active role in recruiting and fundraising for their team. Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis offers a fun and exciting way to engage employees in the community, increasing employee satisfaction and fostering healthy competition.
  • Community visibility – Getting involved in the community builds a stronger reputation with employees, clients and vendors as well as new audiences who could potentially become employees and customers.

Begin today by selecting a team captain and registering your corporate team. CCFA will provide all of the necessary materials. Once you are registered, expect a phone call from local staff who will set up your team planning meeting to assist you with setting a goal and creating a fundraising plan.

National teams:

Thousands of teams, participants and sponsors will participate in Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis in Spring 2008 at nearly 75 locations nationwide. National teams promote Take Steps and raise funds at corporate locations throughout the country. Employees in any office can benefit from the experience of participating.

Become a sponsor: Local and national sponsorship opportunities enable companies to gain vast exposure and support Take Steps. Providing a cash or in-kind donation helps us keep our event cost down and results in more funds directed to research, education and services.  Contact Cassidy Richards, National Events Director, or call your local chapter to learn more about these opportunities.
