What's Happening on Walk Day?
DOG WALK
Bring your dog and join James who will be leading the Dog Walk around the Tidal Basin. He is the culmination of almost 40 years of study and dedication to his breed by his owners Teresa Patton and Ruth Dehmel. James is celebrating a phenomenal 2006 and 2007. He ended 2006 as the No. 2 dog all breeds, and in early December won the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship. He followed that with a Best in Show win at the 2007 Westminster Kennel Club show. He also won the 2006 and 20067 English Springer Spaniel Field Trial Association national specialties and has 51 Best in Shows under his belt. James will be making an appearance at the 2007 AKC/Eukanuba National Champtionship in Long Beach, CA on December 1 & 2. He will be meeting his fans as well as representing the United States in the Eukanuba World Challenge – an international competition featuring to dogs from 40 countries.

About James
James is known for his silken coat and exuberant personality. His favorite treat is chicken with garlic and his favorite toy is a plush frog squeaky that he keeps in his kennel at shows.
Individuals who make a $25+ donation to James’ team will get a team picture at the Walk with him!

RESTROOMS (Washington DC Walk) Public restrooms are located just behind the Sylvan Theater. There are three other bathroom locations along the walk route: 1) between the World War II and Korean War Veterans Memorial; 2) the Jefferson Memorial and 3) Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial
At the Southeast Virginia Walk there are permanent restrooms located adjacent to the Pavilion at picnic area #5 and we will be providing portable restrooms as well.
